Terms of Service
These are the rules for playing Endzone Kings, a free browser football game by Habir Studios. By playing the game or making an account, you agree to them. They're written to be easy to read, so please actually read them.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Habir Studios ("we", "us", "our"). They cover Endzone Kings wherever you play it (our website, itch.io or a saved home-screen app) and our studio website. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.
2. Who can play
- Endzone Kings isn't made for children under 13. You need to be at least 13 to make an account.
- If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they should read these terms with you.
- You can't play if we've banned you before, unless we've told you that you can come back.
3. Your account
- One person per account. Don't share, sell, buy, trade or give away accounts.
- Give a real email address you can get to. It's how you log in, reset your password and get account emails.
- Keep your password and authenticator codes secret. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- If you think someone else got into your account, change your password, sign out your other devices in Settings, and email us.
- Each email can only be used by one account.
- Guests can play Quick Play without an account. Guest progress lives only in that browser and can be lost if browser data is cleared.
4. Usernames
- Usernames are 3 to 16 letters, numbers or underscores, and each one can only belong to one player.
- No offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening names, and no names that pretend to be someone else (another player, a staff member, Habir Studios, a real athlete or a real company).
- You can change your username in Settings once every 14 days.
- We can change or remove a username that breaks these rules, and we can take back a name from an account that's been banned or deleted.
5. Playing fair
Endzone Kings is only fun if everyone plays by the same rules. You agree not to:
- Use hacks, cheats, mods, scripts, bots, macros, speed hacks or any tool that changes how the game runs or gives you an unfair advantage.
- Edit your save, your browser storage or the game's code to change coins, cards, ratings, scores, records or anything else.
- Exploit bugs or glitches on purpose. If you find one, report it with the Feedback button instead.
- Boost or fix games: arranging results, letting someone win, or using a second account to farm wins, coins or rank.
- Try to get into other players' accounts or data, our database, or parts of the game you aren't supposed to reach, or try to overload or break our servers.
Anti-cheat
Endzone Kings has an anti-cheat system that runs during every game and checks every result. It watches for things that can't happen in normal play, including:
- Speed hacks (the game running faster than real time)
- Players moving or teleporting in ways the game doesn't allow
- Ratings, scores or stats being changed outside of real plays
- Edited save files, coins or cards
- Impossible stat lines for the length of the game
- Online results that don't match what actually happened in the match (the host's game is the official result, and both players' reports are compared)
It only flags actual cheats and exploits. Skill can't trigger it, and neither can lag, a slow connection or a slow device: lag only ever slows a game down, and the checks are built around that. See section 12 for what happens when it catches something.
6. Being respectful
In chat, messages, names, bios, clips, trade notes and anywhere else in the game, don't:
- Harass, bully, threaten or stalk anyone
- Post hate speech or attack people for who they are
- Post sexual content, or anything involving minors in any inappropriate way
- Share someone's private information (their real name, address, school, phone number, photos and so on)
- Spam, scam, or post links meant to trick people or steal accounts
- Pretend to be staff, Habir Studios or another player
- Encourage anyone to hurt themselves or others
If someone breaks these rules, use the Report button on their profile. You can also stop following them and stop messaging them.
7. Online play
- Online games need a working internet connection. Bad connections can cause lag or disconnects, and we can't promise every online game will finish.
- Leaving a game that counts (Online H2H, Ultimate Team, Season or Franchise) before it ends counts as a loss. So does getting removed for being idle too long.
- If your opponent quits, you get the win.
- Signed-in players' live games can be watched by friends from their profile. Spectators can't see play calls.
- Online Franchise leagues are run by the players in them. The league owner can start the league, and we can step in if a league is being used to break these rules.
8. Coins, cards and items
- Coins, Training Points, packs, player cards, celebrations, ranks, levels and everything else you earn in the game are virtual items. They have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for real money.
- Nothing in Endzone Kings costs real money. Don't buy or sell accounts, coins or items for real money or anything outside the game. If you do, we can remove the items and the accounts involved.
- You have permission to use your items in the game, but you don't own them. We can change, rebalance, rename or remove items, prices, pack odds and rewards to keep the game balanced.
- If a bug or glitch gives you items you shouldn't have, we can take them back.
- Pack contents are random. The odds can change between updates.
9. Trading
- You can trade players, packs, coins and Training Points with other players. Starters in your lineup can't be traded until you take them out.
- Once a trade is accepted, it's final. We don't undo trades you regret.
- Only trade with people you trust. Don't use trades to scam people, to move items between your own accounts, or as part of any real-money deal.
- We can cancel trades that break these rules and remove what was traded.
10. Seasons and resets
Endzone Kings runs in seasons. When a new season starts, we may reset progress so everyone starts equal: levels, coins, Ultimate Team, records, stats, leagues and other progress can go back to the start. Your account, username and password stay. We'll announce resets in the patch notes. Resets aren't a reason for refunds or compensation (there's nothing to refund anyway, since the game is free).
11. Your content
- Your content is the stuff you create: your bio, messages, clips, custom plays, trade notes, league names and feedback.
- You keep whatever rights you have in it. By posting it in the game, you give Habir Studios permission to store it, show it in the game, and use it to run and improve the game. For example, we can show your clips to other players or use your bug report to fix the game.
- Only post things you're allowed to post. Don't post other people's copyrighted work.
- We can remove any content that breaks these rules, and we aren't responsible for what other players post.
12. Reports, flags and bans
If you break these terms, we can do any of these, depending on how serious it is:
- Warn you
- Remove content, rename your account, or take back items, coins or rewards
- Reset your progress, records or rank
- Temporarily suspend you or permanently ban you
When the anti-cheat catches something
- Nothing happens during the game. The check is done after the final whistle, so cheaters can't tell what tripped it.
- The game doesn't count. No coins, XP or rank points are given for it, it doesn't count toward your record, and its stats don't go on the leaderboards. You'll see a notice on the results screen that something unusual was detected.
- Your account gets a flag and an automatic report is sent to staff with what was detected.
- Three flags means an automatic ban.
Staff also review player reports and can warn, suspend or ban accounts by hand. If you think we made a mistake, email us from the email on your account and explain what happened. We'll look into it.
13. Our game and content
Endzone Kings, its code, art, logos, team names, sounds and everything else in it belong to Habir Studios or the people who licensed them to us. You can play it, take screenshots and make videos or streams of it. You can't copy the game, re-host it, sell it, or claim it as your own. Endzone Kings is an original game. Its teams, players and leagues are made up, and it isn't connected to any real sports league, team or other game company.
14. Changes to the game
We update the game often: new features, balance changes, bug fixes, and sometimes removing things. The game updates itself automatically when you're not in a match. We can change, pause or stop any part of the game, or the whole game, at any time. We'll try to give a heads-up in the patch notes for big changes.
15. No guarantees
Endzone Kings is free and provided "as is". We work hard on it, but we can't promise it will always be available, bug-free, secure or work on every device. Saved progress could be lost because of bugs, outages, cleared browser data or season resets. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't make any promises or warranties about the game beyond what's written in these terms.
16. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, Habir Studios isn't responsible for any indirect or unexpected losses that come from using (or not being able to use) the game, including lost progress, lost items, or anything another player does. Since the game is free, our total responsibility to you for anything related to the game is zero dollars. Some places don't allow these kinds of limits, so they might not all apply to you.
17. Ending your account
You can stop playing any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Deleting is permanent. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms, or that have been inactive for a very long time. If your account ends, you lose access to it and everything on it.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top, and for big changes we'll mention it in the patch notes. If you keep playing after the terms change, you're agreeing to the new version.
19. Contact us
